Grassroots lessons from Arkansas on building a multiracial front against Christian Nationalism.

With rising awareness of Christian Nationalism and authoritarian movements gaining power, concerns for ever realizing a multi-racial democracy become more salient. This session, through grassroots lessons in Arkansas building a popular front against Christian Nationalist-led anti-transgender legislation, will give three lessons on how to organize across differences, build multi-ethnic/multi-racial pro-democracy solutions at the grassroots level. The session will provide some political education on how disinformation and polarization has been funded by fossil fuel billionaires using religious authoritarians to hide their real agenda of privatizing democracy in service of building unchecked wealth on the backs of working people.
